4.) I've heard that once my car has been in an accident, it will never drive right again. Is that true?

Not necessarily. It is true that certain kinds of damage will prevent your car from being repaired to original, safe condition. In those cases a reputable collisioin repair center will work with your insurance company to determine whether repair is possible or financially feasible. If it is not, the car will be "totaled" (a term used to describe a car that is not repairable or whose worth does not merit the expense of a complete and safe repair). However, most vehicles are repairable to original condition. With modern computer imaging and laser measuring technology, combined with skillful craftsmanship, most cars are repaired to complete factory specifications. With many older cars, the repair process brings cars closer to factory spec than they were when new.

5.) What kind of parts are used during the repair process?

At Maurer's Collision we use only OEM (Original Equipment from the Manufacturer) parts in all of our collision repairs. If you bring your car into Maurer's Collision, you can be assured that it will leave with all the parts used during repair at the same level of quality as when it left the showroom floor when it was brand new.
